[fade]FAQ[/fade]
What is telehealth and why would I want it? +
Telehealth is health services administered through audio and video over the internet. Telehealth perks include skipping the hassle of traffic, increased privacy (no worries about "running into people" on your way to your therapist's office), greater opportunities for work-life balance.
Can I use my mobile device for meetings and appointments? +
Yes. You must first download the Telehealth by SimplePractice app (IOS and Android compatibility). We recommend using your computer if you are in a space to do so.
Do you offer any services in person? +
Individual services are offered online only. Some group trainings, workshops, supervision and corporate services are available in person.
Do I need a clinical license to receive the Counsel the Counselor services? +
No, there are a few disciplines listed on the Counsel the Counselor page but if you are unsure contact us!
What are the benefits of self-pay if my insurance will pay? +
You can avoid a diagnostic history, if you desire, as submitting an insurance claim requires you to have a psychiatric diagnosis. No limitations on the therapists you are able to see based on them accepting your insurance plan.
Do you offer clinical supervision for other states? +
Yes, I currently offer clinical supervision for NC and VA social workers.
What if I want ongoing mentorship but I already have my full license? +
Peer mentorship is the best service for this. It falls under professional development services and is pretty much an ongoing form of supervision. Schedule a call to discuss the details of this service and how it could meet your needs.
Is there more information regarding policies for telehealth+
Yes, once you've scheduled an initial appointment, you will be provided intake paperwork which include policies pertaining to appointment cancellation, no-shows, technology, privacy rights, etc.
